From the reviews
Great dojo. My son started the Junior Judo program a few months ago, and I signed up for the adult class shortly after. Sensei James Wall and the other instructors are very experienced, courteous, and kind. They truly care about their students and it shows.
Our whole entire family goes here and we love it! Our kids have grown so much coming here and they love learning Judo. My husband and I do the jiujitsu classes and it has been a great workout for us as a couple and a fun martial art. The teachers do a great job at instruction.
Great group of people who I'm proud are mentors to my son. Not only does this school teach the fundamental values of Judo but they make it fun for the kids. Here we're not just parents and children learning, we are a family and I'm proud to be a part of it.
Wall to Wall Martial Arts continues to impress me every single time that I watch my son in class. The instructors are all excellent with the kids, making learning and training fun and exciting. Highly recommended!
Your first judo class at Wall To Wall Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a judo dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good sensei expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, learning to fall safely (ukemi), then drilling a throw or two and some groundwork with a partner — not hard randori. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a judogi if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner judogi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own judogi. Live randori eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
